The Autumn Home
A bit of a late night post, but have had several of you asking me for an autumn decor post and starting pulling one together last night! I really love bringing in moodier, darker, aged and weather goods this time of year to help set that autumn tone. In my opinion, little elements like this and dried branches are the easiest ways to transition a home into more of a fall vibe. Switching out pillows, natural elements, dark metals with patina for decor, cozy blankets, brown and black floral patterns, and all the candles can make such an impact, with such little effort. If you need some ideas for the season, here is some inspiration!
While I like to focus on these little updates for autumn, I do indulge in a few halloween goodies for October. My treasured little tealight ghosts are a favorite to bring out and asked about often. I also always get a bunch of little white pumpkins from Trader Joes to place around the apartment and some fun gourds to display. All my other finds were collected from antique shops! I can’t recommend enough going antiquing or going to fall festivals any chance you get—so many goodies to collect. Lastly, I love a scented candle and this is a reoccurring favorite for the month.
