Curio Cabinet No.4
Good afternoon! Hope this note finds you well. We’ve had an absolutely beautiful long weekend here in DC and all the sunshine is giving me life! I was out in VA yesterday vineyard hopping with girlfriends and plan to spend some time today romping around Alexandria, then resetting for the week ahead. Whether you find yourself browsing the internet today while you lazy about or if you’re in need of a little escape from work, I’ve got lots of goodies to share in this month’s curio cabinet. So many pieces I’m eyeing! I’ve also been starting to get into some more spring bits (anyone else ready for the seasonal shift?). Enjoy the read!
Posse Dahlia Sleepwear $150+
I’ve had these pajamas on my wishlist for weeks now ever since spotting them in an ad and am taking the plunge. I love that these can be warn as sleepwear or as an every day outfit, together or separated with a different top or bottom. Many outfits in one! And so beautifully crafted down to the floral details and edging.
White Paven Urn Planter $175
You know I’m a sucker for a good urn. While I would happily use this amongst the gorgeous patio garden that doesn’t exist in my life, I love bringing in pieces like this for fresh greens come springtime. This would make for such a beautiful, exaggerated centerpiece moment on a dining table or in an entryway.
Ophelia Highballs by Juliska $78
Spotted these and fell absolutely head over heels! I’m always collecting beautiful glassware and pieces for entertaining. I just can’t get over how gorgeous these are and think I may snag just a couple for myself—because even living alone, we should treat ourselves to nice things and use the good stuff. I would happily drink more water if I had these, no?
Iron Handkerchief Planter $15 (sale)
Again, my mind is on springtime. And I know I’ll be bringing in new plants to give my apartment some life once the weather warms up. Terrain is an obvious go-to (esp as we have one close by) and I’ve never met a planter there I didn’t like. Love how they often focus on aged details and raw materials.
19th Century French Gray Zinc Wall Mirror $3,250
Ok, this is pricey, but saving here as I’ve been loving this style and architectural salvage lately (you may have noticed). Pieces like this are just extra unique and add so much character to a home. I’d actually love this for an outdoor porch or patio! A real conversation piece.
St. Agni Soft Leather Bon Bon Bag $280
I’m not someone who normally switches out bags often—definitely stick to my usual classics! But this style is heavily trending lately and I feel like I’m itching to get behind it. This particular soft leather and coloring is calling my name, bringing in that gorgeous grey green I love so much.
19th Century French Antique Wall Sconce by Maison Bagues Paris $918 (sale)
Another splurgy item that I’m using for inspiration. Definitely on the hunt for something similar, but less expensive. How gorgeous is this wall sconce? I’d opt to remove electrical and simply use it with taper candles—a perfect piece for a lone hallway.
Emporia Stainless Steel Coupes $15
More glassware! Simply loving these coupes. I don’t have anything in this shape and am really attracted to the skinny stem and how dainty these feel. Certainly adding to the wishlist.
Guilhermina Woven Flats $150
Spring couldn’t come soon enough, because I’m a flats girl through and through. I’ve often always had a good woven option to pull and am planning to add these to the rotation. Perfect dressed down with jeans or a sweet dress (or with the shorts shared above). Woven shoes always remind me of adventuring around Europe. I need a vacation!
Kalalou Painted Table Lamp with Metal Shade $358
A major save that I’ve had bookmarked for weeks. I have a few painted wood lamps in my apartment (some DIY!) that would look amazing with a metal shade. This was saved as inspiration, but also keeping for a future home. There’s another option with a round scalloped metal shade that’s to die for.
J.Crew Oversized Metallic-Ball Earrings $40
Just a solid, simple, classic find. I’m an every day jewelry kind of girl, but earrings are where I like to have a bit of fun. Love a chunky silver option and these are perfect to toss into the mix.
Alice Lane Devote Candlesticks $26 (sale)
Can I ever share a round-up without adding in a good set of candlesticks? Considering my own collection is growing quite ridiculously large, there’s no stopping me. I adore how skinny these are!
Machete Midi Oval French Hair Pin $85
I’ve been embracing the french hair pin, though still haven’t quite mastered the technique. They provide such a fabulous hairdo when you want something easy, yet pulled together. Love how chic this silver option is.
Black Aged Metal Side Table $205
I had planned to buy this side table before finding my perfect little antique one the other weekend to sit beside my sofa. I love that it’s made to look old and the shape is really just perfect. I may snag it in a future home one day and thought many of you would love the style as well!
Curio Cabinet No.3
Gustavian Console Table with Lily Foot $691
I mentioned in my latest vintage round-up that I’ve grown quite fond of Gustavian furniture lately. This was a table I stumbled across and would honestly swipe so fast if I had any room for it. I hope someone brings her home! The details are gorgeous.
Set of 4 Vintage Silver Plate Cups $169
I recently brought home two vintage silver goblets from Goodwill and have decided I need more silver drinkware! They look so beautiful on display and feel pretty fabulous to sip from. So, certainly on the hunt for more and thought others may enjoy them too.
Contemporary Pair of Mirror Candle Wall Sconces $900
As my aesthetic has evolved, I’ve loved mixing styles. You’d be surprised what can work well among antiques! These wall sconces instantly drew me in and I feel like they’d compliment a historic home or furnishings with old character.
Heritage Silver Nut Bowl $30
I normally always find my silver bowls among the aisles of an antique emporium, but something about the shape of this little one makes me swoon! I love having small bits like this for snacks and grazing during dinner parties (or for nights in with myself).
Assortment of Horn Combs $40
These carved combs make me so happy! Sometimes, you just want to fill your bathroom with beautiful things. And I love saving my most lovely branded goods for display. Heavily debating this little bunny, but the others are so sweet as well!
Pair of Small Antique Cast Bronze Urns $75 on sale
Urns, urns, urns. I can never have enough! I have my eye on this little pair. Perfect for displaying on a fireplace mantel, across a dining table, or splitting up and using as vases for some pretty flowers throughout your home.
Vintage Six Slice Silverplate Toast Rack $70
Toast racks like this just remind me of travels to England and breakfasts in charming hotels. I feel like our days would be much better if they started with grabbing sweetly organized toasts to butter amongst a silver rack, no?
Intentionally Blank Valley Ballet Flat $154
I just love the feminine touch these flats bring, and love collecting accessories and shoes that can dress up any outfit and add a unique element. Especially as I have more of a capsule wardrobe, heavy on the basics! These are fun.
Wolf Circus Skyler Earrings $98
This brand is a favorite that I return to over and over again for special pieces. These earrings with the little freshwater pearl detail are currently on my wishlist. I love how clean and subtle they are.
Toteme Dupe Embroidered Scarf Jacket $30 on sale
I fell head over heels in love with the Toteme scarf coat, searched for a much much more affordable option, and went with this one. Feels more like a thick sweater coat but the quality is perfection and I just love how it elevates every outfit.
Louis Abel Uzu Necklace $210
I believe my Insta friend Kristin originally shared this necklace and I saved it right away for a future purchase. I just lovvvve the swirly detail and have made a return to silver jewelry lately, so this find is certainly on my mind.
Sea NY Joy Hat $250
I wouldn’t normally purchase anything like this, but the craftsmanship is so beautiful and I can’t help but imagine it paired with the scarf coat! I love how chic women look in these types of pieces… can my large head pull it off(?) is the question.
Tuesday Made Glass Candle Jar $35
Candles are my weakness. I’m constantly adding to my collection and always like when I stumble upon candles in beautiful vessels. It’s also a big bonus when they don’t cost an arm and a leg!
Architecture Statue Tabletop Display $38
Ever since following Sarah Horton and her chic beachy home, I’ve been in love with the architectural piece sitting pretty on her coffee table. I’ve never thought to search for architecture salvage to use as decor, but the obsession has begun!
Curio Cabinet No.2
Hello! Hope you’re having a great weekend and enjoying your Sunday morning. I’m starting to really get into the festive spirit over here. I took myself out on a date Friday to the Nutcracker - I always love to see the Washington Ballet this time of year. Then walked around the city and enjoyed all the lights and people and music. It was lovely! I wrapped my gifts and sent out my holiday cards, and continued making a good dent in my holiday film list. It’s a rainy one here, so planning to be quite lazy and have a lie-in with Millie and a good book. If you’re doing the same, then I hope you enjoy browsing this little collection of recent finds.
Attersee Brea Bag in Jacquard
This gorgeous little number has been sold out and finally came back in stock. I’m so smitten with its shape and gorgeous fabric. A perfect special addition to dress up a neutral wardrobe.
Vintage Metal Matchbox
I never considered a metal matchbox until I stumbled upon this vintage one on Etsy. What a gorgeous little piece to keep on a coffee table or a thoughtful gift!
Ganni Pointed-Collar Diamond Quilting Jacket
I’ve been eyeing Ganni coats for quite some time and really loving this option. The quilted details and coloring feel classic and I love how Ganni always adds a bit of interest to its pieces, like the collar on this one.
Moda Domus Handcrafted Linen Cocktail Napkins
I added these cocktail napkins to my gift guide, but they deserved a repeat. I just love the cut-out details and how unique, yet classic these feel.
1950s Silver Candlesticks
Candlesticks are a regular occurrence in my posts… I’m always on the hunt and definitely have a problem. I just can’t get enough! These silver babies are beautiful! Buy them so I don’t.
Jeffrey Campbell Mesh Mary-Jane Flat
Ok, I know we’re heading into winter. But I may have gotten into the whole mesh shoe trend. These flats are a good option for dipping into the trend, but with a style that’s quite classic and won’t go out of style.
Rag & Bone Mia Cable-Knit Alpaca and Wool Sweater (55% off!)
Currently on the hunt for very specific closet items, one of them being a brown sweater. I love this chunkier option for the colder months and the slight detailing on the front.
1940s Small Silver Plate Urn
I can officially say that I’m a collector of small baby urns. This one caught my eye, but I’m trying to be good - I already have a couple silver options! So sharing with you in case you too love a baby urn.
Venus Fluted Glass Hurricane
This hurricane is calling my name. I already own a couple others, but would love to collect two large holders for my dining room table as every day decor, and to add that perfect candlelit ambiance to the table when entertaining.
Vintage Silver-Plated Butter Knives
If you’ve followed me on Instagram, you know I’m constantly collecting silver pieces for parties and dining. One day I’ll fill a huge cabinet with all my antique silver pieces on display! Silver knives are a great way to dress up your cheeseboard or butter dish.
Crystal and Brass Antique Wall Sconce
As I’ve been scouring for crystal and silver wall sconces to replace my temporary Amazon ones, I stumbled upon this beauty! A bit Rose Uniacke inspired.
Ballard Natasha Nesting Tables
I’ve had these tables in my bookmarks for so long, but ended up finding other options since these were too big. I still love their iron finish and felt they deserved a highlight!
Sophie Buhai Fan Shell Hair Clip
None of us need an expensive claw clip… but it’s so pretty! Love the shape and gorgeous material on this Sophie Buhai option and may add it to my wishlist. While I’m home, my hair is often clipped back, so it would definitely be worth it!
Gohar Stemware Battenberg Lace Slippers
Do your wine glasses need “slippers?” No. But how fun! I’ve never seen anything like this. Leave it to Gohar to create it. Such a fabulous way to dress up glasses for a holiday party!
