The Summer House
Currently dreaming of a summer home to decorate with all the rattan and aged pieces of my dreams. I’m off to the beach on Friday, so I’ve got all the seaside, summery vibes on my mind and have noticed a bit of a pattern in my recent favorites over on Chairish.

Had lots of fun pulling this one together! I’ve been saving a ton of good vintage items on Chairish lately and thought a post was in order to share this collection of goods I can’t get off my mind. The chairs!!! If only I owned a second home by the ocean that I could cuddle up in and fill with rattan. Some day.
The Summer House
1. A rattan table lamp to keep a room cozy. / 2. A vintage rug to bring the space together. / 3. The most perfect little French table to sit pretty on a screened porch. / 4. White oyster plates for friendly gatherings. / 5. A collection of shells could sit pretty in this terracotta planter. / 6. The quintessential coral specimen every sea cottage needs. / 7. The white rattan chair of my dreams. / 8. A classic silver tray to carry cocktails or tea. / 9. Of course, a striped pillow is in order. / 10. A chaise lounge to nap away on after a day in the sun and sea. / 11. A vintage brass wall sconce for a romantic touch.

A few furnishings on my mind for a well-curated space.
It’s that time of year where I feel the itch to rearrange and change things up a bit at home. I’ve been so inspired by texture and different materials lately. I can’t help but dream about travertine! I adore these block side tables and the idea of mixing with classic neutral fabrics and aged wood pieces for a cozy space sprinkled with some modern touches. With all the thinking I’ve been doing around updating little corners of the apartment, a new Roomy Study was in order…inspired by pieces I’ve been eyeing and perhaps influenced by a favorite DC antique shop, Cote Jardin.

Whelp, a lot has happened since I posted a couple weeks ago and something about pulling together blog posts and sharing my carefree days in Florida on Instagram didn’t seem right. So, I kept keeping to myself and silently trying to focus on my mental health while I was enjoying retirement land and beach reads! But I’m back home in DC and was welcomed to beautiful 70-degree weather. Walking back into my apartment felt so good and I can’t wait to sleep in my own bed again. I am completely ready for spring and this arrival just sealed my excitement for fresh blooms, warmer days, easy dresses, and little apartment refreshes here and there. I already got up to some rearranging when I got home this weekend. Really feeling all the light and airy vibes right now and couldn’t help but pull together a new room study. Hope you all have a great week!
