An Autumn Film List
Hello readers! Hope everyone has had a wonderful September so far. This week has felt particularly autumnal. I returned from a fabulous Florida weekend to a very dark and gloomy week here in DC, and honestly, couldn’t be more pleased. I bought fixings for chili and broke out the crockpot. I’ve started decorating for fall. I think I may bake cookies later. I wore a sweater this week. I’ve said it time and time again, I thrive off fall weather and blustery days.
Since we are well on our way to autumn, it felt appropriate to go ahead and post my autumn film list—an annual tradition I’ve come to really adore! It’s so fun to see you all print these out and check off your favorites. I’m so ready to cozy in for the season with candles and darker evenings and all the feel-good or haunted repeats I lean into this time of year. Hope you all enjoy this throughout the season!
A Seashell Collection
Hello, lovely people. Hope this newsletter finds you well on this beautiful Sunday morning. I hope to still be snuggled up in bed with a book or movie when this goes out... felt I deserved a long lie in after a busy week! I just love a Sunday with no set plans.
Today’s post is heavily inspired by long summer days spent by the sea. I’ve unwittingly become somewhat of a seashell collector over the past several years. They add such a lovely detail to any room. Whether piled up in bowls, sitting on books, or elegantly arrayed wherever space allows. So many pieces I’ve added to my home are also heavily inspired by these ocean keepsakes. From antique furnishings to dinnerware and natural curiosities on display. If you too are craving nautilus-inspired, shell-shaped acquisitions, this collection is for you!

Curio Cabinet No.6
Hello, hello! It’s been quite a few weeks since my last newsletter—I missed you. I took a somewhat unintentional turned intentional break as I was traveling every weekend of the month and realized I needed time offline. Sometimes it feels so good to unplug and not worry about social media. And I always find that I come back feeling incredibly refreshed! I’m certainly ready to dive right back into my Substack with lots of summer goodness.
June is wonderful, no? There’s nothing I love more than alfresco dining, long neighborhood walks, days spent on the water, fresh summer meals, cold drinks, easy dressing, sun-kissed skin, and flowers flowers flowers galore. The seasonal welcome has been heavily yearned for and I have lots of inspiration up my sleeve to share here. Easing back in today with a quick Curio Cabinet to kick things back off. And I’ll be busy updating my other corners of the internet and plan to get back to sharing on Instagram as well! Excited to reunite and hope you’ve had a wonderful first weekend of June.
Items inspiring me lately…

Massimo Dutti Enameled Hoop Earrings—Currently having a moment with statement earrings since I don’t wear much jewelry and love this big hoop option.
Vintage Silver Polish Fruit Basket—The details of this gorgeous silver metal basket would make quiet a statement in the kitchen.
Antique French Zinc Oeil De Boeuf Window Dormer—I’d love an architectural piece like this above the bed, in my dining nook, or as a bathroom mirror.
Beach Shell Garden Accessory—I love using rustic garden elements even as interior decor and this is a great summer addition.
Mango Embroidered Blouse—Still riding the embroidery trend pretty hard and love how feminine and delicate this piece is for the summer months.
Zara Woven Sandals—Woven anything is a must for summer and I’m planning to snag these sandals to get my European style fix.
Vintage Rusted Metal Urn—Always always eyeing small urns for a collected, layered look, perfect for storing items, or on the dining table while entertaining.
Pair of Mactan Stone Italian Table Lamps—I love adding texture to a room through lamps and these recently caught my eye! They’d make quite a statement.
& Other Stories Straw Tote—Very tempted to add this tote to my collection for the season. A straw bag is such a classic, timeless addition.
1970s Arthur Court Fish Platter—A fish platter just seems like something we all need for summer serving. Also fabulous for display in a coastal home.
Pair of French Metal Ghost Drapery Tables—Incredibly expensive tables that I’m obsessing over as I’ve never seen such beautiful pieces. SO inspired by these.
