Curio Cabinet No.4

Good afternoon! Hope this note finds you well. We’ve had an absolutely beautiful long weekend here in DC and all the sunshine is giving me life! I was out in VA yesterday vineyard hopping with girlfriends and plan to spend some time today romping around Alexandria, then resetting for the week ahead. Whether you find yourself browsing the internet today while you lazy about or if you’re in need of a little escape from work, I’ve got lots of goodies to share in this month’s curio cabinet. So many pieces I’m eyeing! I’ve also been starting to get into some more spring bits (anyone else ready for the seasonal shift?). Enjoy the read!

Posse Dahlia Sleepwear $150+
I’ve had these pajamas on my wishlist for weeks now ever since spotting them in an ad and am taking the plunge. I love that these can be warn as sleepwear or as an every day outfit, together or separated with a different top or bottom. Many outfits in one! And so beautifully crafted down to the floral details and edging.

White Paven Urn Planter $175
You know I’m a sucker for a good urn. While I would happily use this amongst the gorgeous patio garden that doesn’t exist in my life, I love bringing in pieces like this for fresh greens come springtime. This would make for such a beautiful, exaggerated centerpiece moment on a dining table or in an entryway.

Ophelia Highballs by Juliska $78
Spotted these and fell absolutely head over heels! I’m always collecting beautiful glassware and pieces for entertaining. I just can’t get over how gorgeous these are and think I may snag just a couple for myself—because even living alone, we should treat ourselves to nice things and use the good stuff. I would happily drink more water if I had these, no?

Iron Handkerchief Planter $15 (sale)
Again, my mind is on springtime. And I know I’ll be bringing in new plants to give my apartment some life once the weather warms up. Terrain is an obvious go-to (esp as we have one close by) and I’ve never met a planter there I didn’t like. Love how they often focus on aged details and raw materials.

19th Century French Gray Zinc Wall Mirror $3,250
Ok, this is pricey, but saving here as I’ve been loving this style and architectural salvage lately (you may have noticed). Pieces like this are just extra unique and add so much character to a home. I’d actually love this for an outdoor porch or patio! A real conversation piece.

St. Agni Soft Leather Bon Bon Bag $280
I’m not someone who normally switches out bags often—definitely stick to my usual classics! But this style is heavily trending lately and I feel like I’m itching to get behind it. This particular soft leather and coloring is calling my name, bringing in that gorgeous grey green I love so much.

19th Century French Antique Wall Sconce by Maison Bagues Paris $918 (sale)
Another splurgy item that I’m using for inspiration. Definitely on the hunt for something similar, but less expensive. How gorgeous is this wall sconce? I’d opt to remove electrical and simply use it with taper candles—a perfect piece for a lone hallway.

Emporia Stainless Steel Coupes $15
More glassware! Simply loving these coupes. I don’t have anything in this shape and am really attracted to the skinny stem and how dainty these feel. Certainly adding to the wishlist.

Guilhermina Woven Flats $150
Spring couldn’t come soon enough, because I’m a flats girl through and through. I’ve often always had a good woven option to pull and am planning to add these to the rotation. Perfect dressed down with jeans or a sweet dress (or with the shorts shared above). Woven shoes always remind me of adventuring around Europe. I need a vacation!

Kalalou Painted Table Lamp with Metal Shade $358
A major save that I’ve had bookmarked for weeks. I have a few painted wood lamps in my apartment (some DIY!) that would look amazing with a metal shade. This was saved as inspiration, but also keeping for a future home. There’s another option with a round scalloped metal shade that’s to die for.

J.Crew Oversized Metallic-Ball Earrings $40
Just a solid, simple, classic find. I’m an every day jewelry kind of girl, but earrings are where I like to have a bit of fun. Love a chunky silver option and these are perfect to toss into the mix.

Alice Lane Devote Candlesticks $26 (sale)
Can I ever share a round-up without adding in a good set of candlesticks? Considering my own collection is growing quite ridiculously large, there’s no stopping me. I adore how skinny these are!

Machete Midi Oval French Hair Pin $85
I’ve been embracing the french hair pin, though still haven’t quite mastered the technique. They provide such a fabulous hairdo when you want something easy, yet pulled together. Love how chic this silver option is.

Black Aged Metal Side Table $205
I had planned to buy this side table before finding my perfect little antique one the other weekend to sit beside my sofa. I love that it’s made to look old and the shape is really just perfect. I may snag it in a future home one day and thought many of you would love the style as well!

A Furnished Affair

Hello, dear readers! Today’s post is a petite one. I’ve been so heavily influenced by Swedish furnishings lately, and so, felt inspired to bring back a series I had a while back on my blog where I designed little vignettes from collected pieces I’ve saved around the internet. I just love dreaming up make-believe rooms!

This all started with the gorgeous cabinet below and the amazzzzing cast terracotta urn lamps that I’ll be thinking about for… ever? Do I need these? I may sorta kinda let myself go a bit crazy in these posts. Pulling from all different price points! Simply, because I can. And because I love gathering anything my eyes are drawn as reference points in the future.

I’ve always looked at my blog as a place to get inspired versus a platform for just shopping… so forgive me if you (too) are wildly disappointed that you may not be able to afford some things I share… I can’t always either. But you just never know when you may see something in the corner of an antique shop or on Facebook Marketplace or even in a Home Goods for a very good price that reminds you of a much more expensive version you had saved or saw here or on Pinterest! I did proudly pull myself back from sharing a $15,000 cabinet (insert wiggly woozy face emoji). Any how, I do hope all the times I share very affordable finds makes up for it!
